Can Animals Predict Disasters?

Yes, animals can predict them because some animals have sensory specialization. That means they can hear, smell and feel things. Most animals feel shocks well below what humans can feel. Meaning, what we feel, animals also feel the same thing.

Elephants use their trunks when they hear things. Whole herds stand still and focus on the sound. They hear what we can't. It's called infrasound. Elephants can't hear the sounds all the time, but 90% of the time, which is a good thing. We can tell when they hear an unfamiliar sound, they freeze.

On October 2nd, 2003, it shows dogs reacting strangely before an earthquake starts. A guy discovered a dog barking "excessively" went up by 18% on average in months before the disaster. Dogs are somehow insensitive to impending the earthquakes.
